Thousands of adopted rubber ducks will dive into the Lake at Ethel Lee Tracy Park and race toward the finish line. Prizes will be awarded for the first 12 ducks to reach the finish line. Winner of four Grammy Awards including “Best Male Country Vocal Performance” and “Best Country Album”, Singer, composer, and actor Lyle Lovett bring his blend of country, Americana, blues, and jazz to the Victoria stage in one of his few performances with symphony orchestra! Born in Houston and a graduate of Texas A&M, Lovett’s musical career has taken him across the world and has releases on the MCA, Highway, and Verve labels. Touring as a duo, with his acoustic band, or his large band, this Texas legend brings his unique blend of styles to the Victoria stage for our 50th season!

Sergei Prokofiev’s classic work for children—a symphonic fairy tale in which each character is represented by a different orchestral instrument—becomes a dazzling theatrical and musical event. In collaboration with Victoria Ballet Theater, the concert follows Peter as he tries to capture a menacing wolf that threatens orchestra and audience alike. Students will be introduced to the instruments of the orchestra and the Peter and the Wolf characters’ musical themes before they step into Peter’s adventure.
